The UAMS College of Medicine Northwest Internal Medicine Residency Program participates exclusively in the NRMP and ERAS. All applications must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Interviews are scheduled by invitation only from mid-October through mid-January. Residency positions are filled through the NRMP match. This training program selects the best-qualified candidates who align with our program’s mission and values and does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, age, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, disability, veteran status, marital status, familial status, pregnancy, or sexual orientation.

Review and Interviews
Upon careful review of all applications, our Northwest Internal Medicine Residency Selection Committee extends interview offers. The Selection Committee will also be responsible for the final ranking of candidates. Criteria used by the committee for selection include an applicant’s experiences, attributes, and metrics. Interviews take place from mid-October through mid-January via the Thalamus system. Applications must be completed by early October to be considered for review by the Selection Committee. Interviews are by e-mail invitation only. Interview invitations will be sent in mid-October. The Internal Medicine Selection Committee reviews all applications using a systematic, holistic approach.
