The Program
The UAMS / Washington Regional Internal Medicine Residency Program is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and was established in 2022 as a new community-based program through a partnership with UAMS and Washington Regional Medical Center. This internal medicine residency program trains residents in clinical reasoning, critical thinking, teaching, research and health care delivery to diverse and underserved populations in Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding regions.
Mission
The mission of the UAMS / Washington Regional Internal Medicine Residency Program is to develop highly skilled and compassionate physicians who excel in the practice of internal medicine. Our goal is to create an academic-quality internal medicine program in a community setting.
