Our students have opportunities to interact with patients in the student-led interprofessional North Street Clinic, providing care to members of the local Marshallese community. We coordinate community outreach events that improve the lives of area residents through truly community-based health care.

Educational and Student Success Center
The mission of the Educational and Student Success Center (ESSC) is to provide academic support to all UAMS students. We partner with students to identify learning needs and find solutions. The resources, services, and tools offered foster independence and lead to student success.

Student Medical Services
The UAMS Health Family Medical Center, located within the UAMS Northwest Regional Campus, is the provider for Student Health Services for the Northwest Regional Campus.
- Treatment of minor illnesses as covered by student health fee
- The following CLIA-waived procedures: Strep, flu, UA without micro analysis
- TB skin tests
- Immunizations
- Care of needle-sticks and blood/body fluid exposures
- Referral to a physician is available for students who require services outside the scope of Student Health including treatment of chronic and severe illnesses, lab services not listed above, x-rays, etc. (These items will be billed to student/insurance.)
Call the UAMS Student Health Clinic (SHS) at 501.686.6381 to schedule a Telehealth Appointment. Students should specify they are a NW Campus student when making an appointment.

Northwest Wellness Program
The UAMS Northwest Regional Campus Wellness Program promotes “Wellness” as the idea of being able to balance more than just physical and medical health, but integrate your values, life meaning, finances, occupation, social life, intellect, technology, emotions and environment into your chosen lifestyle.
The UAMS Northwest Regional Campus Wellness Program provides psychiatric and counseling services. UAMS-wide resources are also available at gethealthy.uams.edu.

UAMS NW Fitness Center. The fitness center currently has a capacity limit for health and safety. To sign-up to use this free space, use this form.
UArk HPER. To purchase a membership to the University of Arkansas HPER, visit in-person (HPER 225) during facility UREC Main Office hours. You will need your UAMS ID and a check or credit card for payment. Facility hours can be found here.
