Student Affairs

We are so glad that you have chosen to pursue your education in Northwest Arkansas! We are here to help you succeed. We work to help you balance school, life and enjoying your colleagues.

Our students have opportunities to interact with patients in the student-led interprofessional North Street Clinic, providing care to members of the local Marshallese community. We coordinate community outreach events that improve the lives of area residents through truly community-based health care.

Lauren Parker, the Director for Student Affairs, is your go-to person for campus life, Associated Student Government, campus resource liaison, student advocacy, and campus or student concerns.

Northwest Wellness Program

The UAMS Northwest Wellness Program promotes “Wellness” as the idea of being able to balance more than just physical and medical health, but integrate your values, life meaning, finances, occupation, social life, intellect, technology, emotions, and environment into your chosen lifestyle.

Clinical Services

The UAMS Northwest Regional Campus Wellness Program provides free and confidential counseling and psychiatric services. Students seek help for stress, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship conflicts, academic difficulties, test anxiety, and many other issues interfering with daily life.

We offer therapy, psychiatric evaluation, and medication management services in a safe and nurturing environment to actively enrolled UAMS students, residents, and their partners.

You must first schedule an intake appointment with the wellness counselor and receive a referral prior to seeing the wellness psychiatrist.
