At UAMS Community Health & Research, we work with communities to identify and break down barriers that prevent people from achieving their best health.

Our staff helps communities navigate their health care, and provide resources and education to help them live longer, healthier lives. Our programs are offered in English, Spanish and Marshallese. Research staff, faculty and evaluation experts work to ensure that our programs are meaningful and that they are effectively influencing health behaviors.

A highly successful and productive research office with a team of more than 150 full-time staff and investigators, UAMS Community Health & Research leads a variety of community-engaged research and programs focused on health navigation, equity, and disease prevention.

The pioneering work of the office has established a nationally recognized research presence in northwest Arkansas, engaging in innovative collaborations with regional, statewide and national organizations dedicated to eliminating health disparities and improving health outcomes for all.
