Cultural Competency Training
The UAMS Northwest Regional Campus offers cultural competency training for health care providers. General cultural competency training includes a discussion surrounding the relevance of cultural competency in healthcare, interactive learning activities and cross-cultural communication tactics. Participants will learn the essentials of culturally competent care and how to best serve patients from diverse backgrounds. Additional training in caring for Marshallese or Hispanic/Latino patients is available as well, and will be co-presented by members from both communities who will be available for a Q&A following the session.
