The Office of Community Health and Research at UAMS is launching a community of practice focused on addressing food insecurity in Northwest Arkansas (NWA). By sharing skills and experiences, the NWA community of practice will be a group of organizations and individuals who work together to cultivate new strategies to address recurring problems related to food insecurity in Northwest Arkansas.
Applications for the Northwest Arkansas Community of Practice are now open! Apply here. Email firstname.lastname@example.org and/or call or text 501-503-2687 for more information.
While we are only able to engage a limited number of organizations in the community of practice at the full level of participation described above, all applicants will have opportunities to engage in several activities, events, and resources available over the course of the multi-year project.
The NWA community of practice will be guided by a diverse advisory board of individuals who are currently experiencing food insecurity or have experienced food insecurity in the recent past. If you or your organization have suggestions for individuals who might be a good fit for this board, please encourage them to email email@example.com and/or call or text (501) 503-2687.

The Walmart Foundation provided a grant to the UAMS Foundation Fund to establish the community of practice, which will place a strong emphasis on diversity, equity, inclusion and data-driven decision-making and evaluation.
